For all of your beauty lovers like myself, I think you’ll like today’s post! This was a highly requested one from you all, and I had so much fun putting it together. Today I am sharing what’s in my makeup bag! I always love reading everyone else’s posts on what’s in their makeup bag, and finding new beauty products to try! Beauty products are definitely a guilty pleasure of mine, haha! With so many products out there to try, it can be a bit intimidating at times, so I often find it helpful to see what others have tried and recommend. I enjoy doing and wearing makeup everyday, but I definitely don’t have an extensive makeup routine. I can do my daily makeup look in under 10 minutes, but it still gives me a complete, pretty and put together look. I have drawers full of products I love, but all of these are ones that are always in my bag, and that I know and love no matter what.

MAKEUP BAG

FOUNDATION– I have been using this NARS All Day Luminous liquid foundation for years now, and it is hands down my favorite foundation! I have tried out a couple others here and there, and have always come back to this one! I thankfully have pretty clear skin, but it sure can get dry, ha! This foundation is full coverage while still being very lightweight and not the least bit heavy or ‘cakey’. It goes on so smooth, and really does keep my skin bright and luminous all day long. Don’t you love when a product actually lives up to its name? Ha! I can put this on in the morning, work all day, workout and this foundation will stay! I can’t recommend enough trying this foundation out! I wear the shade ‘Mont Blanc’ in the winter (I think it’s the palest of pale, lol!) and then usually ‘Deauville’ in the summer.

PRIMER– For a long time I hadn’t been using any primer at all, and then kept hearing so many great things about this YSL Blur Primer and decided to try it. I will never go back! The price point seems a little high for a primer, but it truly was worth it to me. It really does help blur your pores and fine lines, and my foundation goes on SO smooth! As I mentioned, I can have pretty dry skin at times, and this primer helps keep my foundation from sticking to the dry spots, and keeps my skin feeling moisturized all day long. A little goes a long way too!

BLUSH– This blush is another NARS product that I have been using for quite some time now, and will always be one of my go-to’s. There are a handful of blushes I really like, but this blush in the shade ‘Impassioned’ came in a set I recently bought, and I ended up really liking the shade! I also love the shade ‘Orgasm’. It’s such a beautiful, universal shade and I’m obsessed with the subtle shimmer in it.

BRONZER– I started using this Hourglass bronzer this past year after falling in love with some of their other products, and really love it! I have also used their blush and highlighter, and their makeup just goes on so smooth and blends so well. I have the shade ‘Nude Bronze Light’ and it is a fairly subtle bronze which has been perfect for me during the winter while I’m so pale, or if you are naturally fair. It also has very little orange tones to it which I liked. Some bronzers can get so orange! As I tan in the summer, I would switch to a darker bronze shade.

FINISHING POWDER– If there is one product in my makeup bag that I can’t recommend enough, it would be this Charlotte Tillbury Air Brush Flawless Finish Powder. I hadn’t been using a finishing powder, and then tried this after hearing amazing reviews, and it’s just. so. good!! I put this on very last after I have done my foundation, blush and bronzer. I somewhat contour with my bronzer (very basic contouring, haha!) and blush, and then use this finish powder almost has a highlight and all over for an air brushed look! It goes on so light with a brush, and gives you a matte, very smooth finished look! I also helps sort of blend your blush/contour areas. I seriously can’t live with out it. If you are someone with shiny or somewhat oily skin, this might be a great product for you to try! I use the shade ‘2 Medium’.

HIGHLIGHT– Highlighters are one of my favorite products to try out! Anyone else? They’re all just so pretty! I have a couple that I love, and currently this BECCA one is one that I am always reaching for in my makeup bag. I have the shade ‘Moonstone’ and love it. It’s so beautiful, has just the right amount of shimmer, and goes on so smooth. I use this above my cheekbone, bridge of my nose, and lightly above my brows.

CONCEALER– I have quickly fallen in love with anything and everything Kevyn Aucoin, and this concealer is at the top of my list! I have converted my mom and sisters to this product too! Fortunately I don’t have many breakouts, but when I do, this concealer covers it perfectly. This concealer is also fantastic not just for covering spots, but also as an under-eye brightener and for highlighting. I will apply a little bit under my eyes and it helps eliminate those dark bags and really brighten it up! It’s also great in the spots that you want to highlight. I use the shade ‘Light EC 01’. TIP- I went so light not just because I’m pale right now, but if you want to use it under your eyes for brightening or highlighting, you would need to get a lighter shade!

BROWS– If you’ve been watching my Instagram stories lately, then you’ve seen how much I love Glossier! Their Boy Brow product is one that they’re famous for, and let me tell you. It’s THE BEST!! I have very light brows and I have always wished that I didn’t have to fill in my brows every day. I had always used a powder to fill them and it worked great, but it didn’t always give that natural look and it was kind of time consuming to get them perfect. The Boy Brow is like a mascara wand and it just sticks to your brow hairs. You can then use a brow brush to shape and blend as much as you want. This stuff is seriously a game changer for me, and it takes me like five seconds to do my brows. Plus, they look natural! I get my brows waxed by Anastasia Beverly Hills at Nordstrom and they have saved my brows (they can seriously work miracles), so I have always been happy with the shape of my brows just not how light they were. Now with the Boy Brow it’s almost like a quick tint and my brows look natural. I use the shade ‘Brown’

EYELINER– I can’t say enough good things about this Stila liquid eyeliner. It’s so incredibly easy to use, goes on perfectly and lasts all day long. It’s so precise, which is great for achieving a cat-eye look too.

MASCARA– I plan to do a post soon on my top 5 favorite mascaras, but currently my number one favorite is this Stila Extreme Lash Mascara! I got this mascara in a PR package and I’m so glad I did, because I am obsessed with this mascara! I have pretty long lashes, but not thick at all, and this makes my lashes look so long and full! It layers so, so well and doesn’t flake or clump. For a primer I use this Dior Triple Volume Plumping primer and really love it.

So there you have it! That’s what’s in my makeup bag! All of my tried and true, daily essentials for my makeup routine. If you have any questions about any of the products or want any tips, please don’t hesitate to ask! Also, I’d love to know what’s in your makeup bag! Share your recommendations with me! I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know if you have any requests for future beauty posts. I plan to start having a weekly schedule of 3 posts per week, with one beauty post every week! Start sending your requests!
