After enjoying a relaxing, Sunday morning in Millennium Park, I made my way back into the city for a little afternoon shopping. On my way, I happened upon this pretty little patisserie, Toni’s Patisserie and Café. It was such a pleasant surprise! One must always stop for macarons and meringues. It was the perfect afternoon treat. I could have spent the rest of the day sitting outside sipping on San Pellegrino, enjoying one pastel macaron after the other, but there was so much to do and so little time as it was my last day in the city! I then headed off for an afternoon stroll along the Riverwalk, which was absolutely gorgeous with all the waterside cafes and boats passing by. The day ended on a perfect note at the Navy Pier with a ferris wheel ride and sky-high views of the beautiful lake and city that I had a wonderful weekend exploring.
