Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. For those of you that don’t know, I am currently planning my first trip to Paris for two weeks at the end of May…eek! With officially less than 100 days to go, Paris is calling!

Not only is it my first time visiting The City of Lights, but it’s also my first time out of the country, so it’s going to be truly magical. As you could guess, it also calls for planning, planning, planning! I wanted to start a series of posts featuring some of my steps leading up to my trip, and what better topic to kick-off with than fashion?

Most our our stay will be during early June, which should call for beautiful spring weather, but I’m prepared for the occasional rain shower and cooler temps. With that being said, I always want to have a coat on hand that will work with whatever I might be wearing that day, and what better option than the classic trench coat? Not only is it perfectly parisian, but it will be easy to travel with, and creates such an effortlessly chic look. One of the key points I love most about traveling with a trench coat is that I can plan on bringing a select handful of dresses, tops, and bottoms, and mix and match different pieces with the coat as needed. This simplifies both packing and outfit planning, and allows me to create multiple looks without overpacking (which I am notorious for, ha!)

I just purchased this trench coat in both this color, and the blush pink (swoon!) and I’m absolutely in love! I’m obsessed with how feminine and pretty they look, and especially love how it appears to have a pleated skirt when the belt is tied in a bow in back! I plan on taking both coats, and pairing them with white, black, navy and red pieces. This pretty lace peplum that I love so much turned out to be the perfect pairing. For size reference, I am wearing an XS and it fits perfectly. I originally ordered S, but they do run a bit large. Also, they are currently 40% off, so there’s no better time to add one to your spring wardrobe!

I hope that you all will enjoy this series, and find it helpful if you’re also planning spring travels. If you have any questions, or specifics you’d like to know about my planning process, please don’t hesitate to ask! For any of you that have been to Paris, I would adore suggestions/tips! Xo, Rachel
