Dillards Summer Favorites…
Dillards has quickly become one of my favorite places to shop, after coming across a couple brands they have that I just fell in love with! Right before I moved from KC to Florida last month, I randomly stopped in to our local Dillards which I hadn’t been in to in years, in search of some pretty dresses I had seen on Instagram. I love following Born on Fifth (@bornonfifth), and I saw one day that she had done a collab with a brand at Dillards, Antonio Melani, and it’s just GORGEOUS! So off I went to Dillards to see if I could find any of the dresses to look at in person! Our store there in KC is pretty old, and it’s unfortunately a bit sad and dark looking from the outside (ha!), so I just hadn’t stopped in for the past few years, but I have definitely been missing out, and now I can’t stay away!! Luckily, we have a super cute Dillards not too far down the road from me in Florida, and it has palm trees out front! I will definitely be making many trips there…if I’m not already shopping online, ha!
I wanted to roundup some of my Dillards summer favorites, and share with you all some of the gems that I came across, and a few of my favorite brands they have! They truly have an amazing selection to offer in all departments, and I especially love that they have some brands completely different from what you can find in other department stores. They seem to still have a lot of classics, and tasteful selections that are harder to find in store these days. For example, if you have little ones, you absolutely must check out their baby and children’s section! I don’t have kids yet, but boy I wish I did, because I would be buying one of everything, ha! Everything was soo precious! They had beautiful, classic baby and children’s clothing and toys that reminded me of what my sister’s and I wore growing up, and that I haven’t come across in stores in a long time. So many beautiful smocked dresses and outfits, embroidered pieces, floral prints, darling baby gowns, and my personal favorite… matching pieces for the family! I feel like you don’t see such pretty, classic pieces for littles like that as often now! They even still carry Laura Ashley for children, which is a brand that I grew up with and adore. You’ll see in the inspiration boards above, that I have a few boards with some of my favorite baby and children’s items that I came across. And can we talk about how precious the patriotic collection is, and all of those matching, little floral dresses? I mean…all the heart eyes! All of those sweet smocked outfits, and beautiful embroidered pieces are what I dream of dressing my kids in one day!
For women, a few of brands that I’ve fallen in love with are Antonio Melani, Gianni Bini, Chelsea and Violet, Roller Rabbit, Joules, and Alex Marie. I would live in dresses if I could and adore collecting them, and I also love pretty swimsuits, and these brands have some gorgeous pieces to choose from! The inspiration boards above highlight some of my personal favorites, and absolutely everything is linked in the scroll bars underneath each board so it’s easy to shop!! I love all things pretty and feminine, so I was beyond excited to come across all of these beautiful dresses, and at a fair price point, too! I feel like it can be difficult to find such pretty dresses that aren’t designer, or very pricey. One of my favorite things about Antonio Melani and Gianni Bini is that they have some stunning pieces that remind me so much of some of my favorite designers. Great lookalike options! I have been ordering some of the dresses here and there, and I can’t wait to take some pictures in them to share! For size reference with these, I ended up being a size 4 or S. This stunning blue and white floral dress from the Antonio Melani x Born on Fifth collection is actually on sale for $107 right now!! I had had my eye on it, and couldn’t order fast enough when I saw it on sale! If you follow me on Insta (@rachelpuccetti), you saw me try it on on stories this week, and it’s just stunning!! The sleeves, the bow tie on back, the print…just perfection! You can never go wrong with a classic blue and white print, and I adore how feminine it is! I also just ordered this beautiful fruit print dress. I adore a good fruit print! It just came in the mail, and it’s even better than I imagined. It’s a fantastic designer lookalike for the Cara Cara fruit print dress that is $600+!
For swimwear, Antonio Melani, Gianni Bini, and Roller Rabbit also have the BEST swimsuits to choose from, just like their dresses. More amazing designer lookalikes, too! I am absolutely obsessed with the blue and white gingham suit I’m wearing in the photos above. I mean, have you ever seen a cuter suit?? It’s an incredible lookalike for one of my favorite designer swim brands, Montce Swim. When it comes to swimsuits, it’s all about the quality, fit and comfort level. As much as I love an inexpensive suit from Target or something like that, I just never have much luck with them unfortunately because I always find them to be a bit uncomfortable. After investing in a few great suits the past few years, I have found that the fabric and quality makes a WORLD of difference, and are so worth investing in since I truly love them, and they will last for years to come. So when I came across these brands at Dillards, I was beyond thrilled. While their suits are of course more pricey than a Target suit of course, they are a fraction of the price of comparable designer swimwear, while still having the exact same amazing quality, fit, and comfort. And so cute! Most of them are about $100 for a top and bottom set. I also adore the Antonio Melani fruit print one pictured above! I purchased this and can’t wait to take a picture in it to share! One of my favorite designer brands, Agua Bendita, did a fruit print just like this that I fell in love with, but the dresses and swimwear were so pricey. So when I saw this suit on Dillards, I couldn’t order fast enough, and it’s so stunning in person!! I got the triangle top which has pretty gold detailing on the straps, and the high waist bottom! High waisted swim bottoms are my favorite, and I love when they have a pretty tie detail like the fruit print and gingham ones do! I also got the matching sarong to go with and its beautiful! I feel so chic wearing this suit! The material on these suits is like butter….they just feel so good on. I wear a medium top and bottom in all of these brands for swimsuits.
Another one of my favorite finds were these bow sandals. They come in light pink or blue, or a fun print! They are an amazing designer lookalike for the famous Loeffler Randall bow sandals, I couldn’t believe it! I can’t decide which color to order…which would you choose?
I hope you all enjoyed some of these Dillards summer favorites as much as I do! You can catch up on some of my other summer must-haves I’ve shared here, too!
