On Friday after arriving in Chicago, I checked into my hotel, W Chicago Lakeshore, and was instantly in awe of the incredible views. Just steps away from Navy Pier and a short drive to Magnificent Mile, I was in heaven! Between the chic rooms, scenic views, and the gorgeous modern decor, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my weekend.
There is nothing quite like the excitement of exploring a new place, so I immediately set out for the gorgeous city. I barely made it five steps without finding something I just had to snap a quick picture of. The city streets, skylines, and old buildings were simply too pretty. I also found my way to all of the Nordstrom and Nordstrom Racks, of course! After plenty of shopping, I made my way to Gino’s East to enjoy some deep-dish pizza! The line was out the door and wrapped around the corner…welcome to the city! I ended the day at the Navy Pier, enjoying the cool breeze off of the lake and taking in the view of the beautiful, lit up city before heading back to rest up for Create + Cultivate. It was the perfect first day in Chicago!
