The famous Amazon dress that went viral. After seeing this darling dress everywhere I looked, I had to order it and try it for myself, and I’m so glad that I did! As soon as it arrived, I added it into my dress rotation and wore it out to lunch, and it has been such a great little summer dress. Any grand millennial needs this dress added to her wardrobe! I’ve never met a puff sleeve I didn’t like! And the tie detail in the back? You know I love that, too! Smocked dresses have been one of my favorites as of late, and this dress is just so lightweight and effortless! It comes in a handful of colors to choose from, and I think it will be perfect for early fall as well. For size reference, I would say it runs a bit big. I ordered my usual size S, and I probably could’ve done an XS, too.
A dress like this is the perfect piece to style with a whole host of different accessories! A few of my go-to’s being a straw hat or headband, cute bag, and a pretty statement earring…the bigger the better! I have been crushing on Neely Phelan earrings this summer, and this rattan heart pair with the vintage strawberry print bows were a must paired with this dress!
Fun backstory on this bag- One of my friends gave this to me in first grade. She brought them back from Mexico for the girls in our class. It’s one of those things that I am so glad I held onto, and I can’t believe i’ve had it almost 20 years! Straw bags are one of my favorite things to collect. The straw, the stitching, the flowers and my name woven in, the floral lining inside and the shell closure…it’s so me. She probably got this from a little street vendor way back then, and crazy how now it reminds me of something you’d find at LoveShackFancy, or some of the brands I love that sell embroidered straw bags. If someone were to makes these now, they’d totally sell! I’ve hardly ever used it, but it’s perfect now in Florida. Sometimes it pays to hold on to treasures like this!
