Tis’ the season for Christmas parties, cozy weekends at home, and spending time with friends and family. Whatever the occasion may be, I wanted to share a fun idea for a cozy little hot cocoa bar. This is such a quick and easy setup, but it comes together so cute and will keep you and your guests cozy all day long!
You could easily set this up on a bar cart, stack up all of your favorite festive mugs, fill jars and bowls with hot cocoa toppings, peppermints, whip cream, and marshmallows galore! Add some pretty little touches to make it extra festive, like garland, small Christmas trees, wood signs, etc! This will make for the perfect little space where you and guests you are hosting can come and create the ultimate hot cocoa of their choice. I set mine up on the kitchen island, and laid everything out on a large wooden cutting board, but you could also set everything out on a dining table if you’re hosting a cookie exchange or get together, and have treats laid out on the table, too!
My favorite gourmet hot cocoa mix is definitely the Williams-Sonoma Hot Chocolate! It’s so rich and delicious, and they have multiple flavors to choose from! They even do a few sampler packs that come with 3 different flavors! All are linked in the scroll bar below. Fun Fact: I used to work at Williams-Sonoma during the holiday season, and it was SO much fun. That’s how I came to love all of the delicious things they have, and everything is so cute, too!
I also linked below a bunch of my favorite hot cocoa toppings, like these ADORABLE gingerbread men mug toppers…like seriously? How cute are they? As well as the darling snowmen face marshmallows, and gingerbread house mug toppers! Whenever I post these on my Instagram, I always get tons of comments on how darling they are! I can’t think of anything cuter to add to your hot cocoa bar for hosting this holiday season! There are also some fun little snowflake shaped marshmallows, peppermint sticks, and other fun things! I also linked my favorite peppermint bark and chocolate caramels (both SO good!) from Williams-Sonoma, that would be perfect to add to your spread as well.
You can easily display all of your fun little hot cocoa toppings in bowls, glass apothecary jars, mason jars, etc! Tip: tie ribbon or twine around the jars with little pinecones, Christmas pine picks, etc, attached to dress them up. Then you will have the cutest and coziest hot cocoa bar ever!
I prefer my hot cocoa made with milk, so you could leave the milk (or water) out for people to pour themselves a mug and heat it up in the microwave. You could also have your crockpot filled with hot cocoa already made to keep it hot!
With Thanksgiving next week, and Christmas right around the corner, this is the perfect thing to set up in your home for your friends and family! It would also be wonderful for a cozy movie night, kids party, and more! I hope you all enjoyed this hot cocoa bar idea, and I would love to hear if you give it a try! Xo, Rachel.
