Happy New Year, everyone! I hope your year is off to a great start so far! I am excited to kick off 2020 with my first blog post of the year, and share some organization tips for the new year! There’s nothing better than starting off the year fresh feeling organized, de-cluttered, and ready to take on your new goals.
At the beginning of each year after putting away Christmas decor, I always take the time to clean out my closet, drawers, vanity, makeup, etc. It’s the perfect time to go through and clean out old makeup, get rid of what you don’t need or didn’t use the past year, and to donate old clothing and items.
Once I’ve done that, I then take a look at what I have left, what space I have in my drawers, etc, and then make note of what kind of organizers I need. I also make a point to go through the organizers I currently have like my vanity organizers and my stackable makeup drawers, and go through those and re-organize them/clean out. Somehow by the end of the year, things just never seem to have made it back in the right places, ha! I also like to sometimes switch things up to better suit how I’ve been using them.
Some of my favorite places to shop for organizers are The Container Store, Target, and Amazon. In the scroll bars above I have linked the exact ones that I’ve been using for a little while now and love, as well as some similar options!
