Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Favorites
Shackets and Flannels: I think this might be one of my most favorite categories this year! Shirt jackets, AKA, the ‘shacket’, is a trend that came around this past fall, and I LOVED it! I’ve always loved flannels for fall and winter, and then shackets came along. Like a flannel, but a little thicker and cozier so you don’t have to wear a jacket on top! There are SO many cute ones in the NSale this year! I love them right now paired with leggings or biker shorts, with a tee, tank, crop, or graphic tee underneath! And then for fall, they’re perfection with a henley or shirt underneath, even a thin sweater or cable knit, paired with jeans, cute boots and a wool fedora! I just love the way they look unbuttoned with different things layered underneath. You could also do a more sporty/casual look, and pair them with jeans/joggers/leggings, graphic tee, sneakers and a baseball hat! There are some CUTE sneakers in the NSale this year as well, all shown and linked below, that would be perfect paired with any of these shackets or flannels! I ordered this Treasure and Bond Plaid Shirt Jacket, I just love the pretty chocolate brown. This BLANKNYC Plaid Shirt Jacket, which reminds me of all things pumpkin spice and has me so excited for fall. And also this Thread and Supply Plaid Shirt Jacket in the black/tan color combo! The grey and cream is cute, too! I am tempted to order this pretty rose plaid shirt jacket as well! I got size medium in all! I also ordered this BDG Plaid Flannel Shirt! Typically I would do size large in a flannel shirt because I like them oversized and longer in length, but this style looks like it’s already oversized, so I did size medium!
Jackets: I love collecting cute, cozy jackets for fall and winter! I always love the Thread and Supply fleece pullovers, and this year they did this jacket! So cute in the cream or grey! I get size medium. I also love this Faux Shearling and Denim Trucker! So cute paired with some sneakers and a baseball hat, or cute boots and a fedora! I have heard it runs big, so I ordered size small. I love collecting puffer jackets, so I thought this Levi Pink Puffer was too cute! I also loved the faux leather puffer jacket trend this past fall, so I thought this brown Faux Leather Puffer Jacket was gorgeous! This Ralph Lauren Faux Shearling Coat is stunning as well! Yellowstone is my absolute favorite show, and that Ralph Lauren jacket with a cream cable knit underneath, plus all of the plaid shackets, give me total Yellowstone vibes and have me dying to go to Wyoming or Montana! I am usually always a size medium in jackets, except for that faux shearling denim jacket I mentioned above that runs big, and I did size small in that.
Sweaters: This Madewell Cardigan is one of my top favorites! It comes in a couple different colors perfect for fall and winter, like the pumpkin spice, or the army green which I love to pair with my red Hunter boots or a red scarf! I get size small. I’m also going to order this Free People Turtleneck Sweater! How cozy and cute does that look for fall activities like going to the apple orchard or pumpkin patch, and then so cute for the Christmas season! I can’t decide if I want the cream, tan or the emerald green which would be so pretty for fall/Christmas, too! I am going to get size small when I decide on a color, ha! This Caslon Cardigan is another great basic that comes in some pretty colors for the season like the apple red! I ordered this pretty chocolate brown sweater in size large for oversized fit! I thought the color was so rich and pretty for the season paired with boots and a fedora! I might try to layer it under this chocolate brown plaid shacket I ordered, too! I also love this Treasure and Bond Turtleneck Sweater with the cuffed sleeves! The rust color is my fav for fall!!
Clothing: This Free People Henley is one of my favorite purchases from the NSale last year, and they did it again this year! I get size medium for oversized fit, and it’s cute to tie a knot in the front, too! It’s the perfect lightweight long sleeve to throw on and transition into fall, and you can also layer with it when it cools down! So cute with boots and a fedora, or a blanket scarf added on! You can scroll down in this post to see some of my outfit inspiration boards, and a few pictures from my favorite NSale outfits last year that I recreated this year! I ordered this cute USA sweatshirt in size large for oversized fit! The Madewell Denim Jacket is a great essential, and I love the longer length for pairing with leggings! I wear size medium. The leopard print and plaid dresses are darling as well, and I also thought the black fleece jacket with the leopard print zipper was too cute!
Accessories: My NUMBER 1 item on my shopping list was the Brixton hats! I am a hat snob, they are seriously my favorite accessory ever, and I love collecting them! Brixton makes my all-time favorite hats…I think I have over 15 of them now, ha! They’re just fantastic quality, beautiful, fit well, amazing price point for hats, and come in sizes! One size fits all hats never work out. The Joanna style is my most favorite of their’s, so this Brixton Joanna Hat in the NSale this year was the first thing I added to my cart in the Vanilla color! I also had to have this Brixton Joanna Straw Hat with the pretty cutouts! And then I ordered this Brixton Joanna Wool Hat for fall and winter! It will be perfect paired with all of the shirts jackets, flannels and sweaters! I get size large. I have a big head and lots of hair, ha! Plus, I like my hats to be a little loose. I can also wear the medium, but it’s a bit more snug than I prefer when wearing them all day. Blanket scarves are one of my most worn accessories for fall and winter, so I always love getting a new one during the NSale. Further down in this post, you can see one of my favorite outfits from the sale last year wearing a red Madewell scarf, and I was so excited to see that Madewell brought back the scarf again this year in a pretty red plaid, and a neutral plaid! That apple red if perfect for the apple orchard, and Christmas, too! They’re so soft, and nice and big, too! Highly recommend! I always get asked about my scarves, and that was a top seller last year, so grab yours now! I also love the cute Treasure and Bond Blanket Scarves! I ordered the golden/pumpkin spice color! I love those cozy wraps, too! They always look so pretty for fall and winter with some boots and a fedora, they just drape in such a pretty way! Great with jeans, but perfect because they’re long enough to wear with leggings, like the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings in the sale! I get size large in these! They run small and tight, and I don’t like them tight!
Boots: You can never have too many cute, cozy boots for fall and winter! My top favorite pair are these Marc Fisher Pointed Toe Booties. Further down in this post I shared one of my favorite outfits from the NSale last year to recreate for you all this year! The pointed toe booties I’m wearing in that photo are Marc Fisher as well, and they brought back pretty much the exact same style this year! Yay! They were one of my favorite purchases last year, and I wore them with SO many of my fall outfits! Marc Fisher shoes are beautiful, comfortable, and amazing quality so they will last for years to come! I love the pretty colors they did this year! Marc Fisher shoes run true to size, but my general rule of thumb with pointed toe boots is to go up a half size. I like to wear a sock with my boots, and I don’t want them to rub with the pointed toe, so I went up a half size in these and they were perfect! I also LOVE these Marc Fisher Boots. This chunky style with the cozy sherpa lining are another one of my most favorite styles for fall and winter! They just look SO cute and cozy with your sweaters, shirt jackets, flannels, etc! Perfect with jeans, or I love to pair them with a shirt jacket, a pair of leggings, like the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (I wear size L in these, they run small and tight) in the sale, and then some chunky socks sticking out the top of these boots! Add a beanie or fedora! You can see an outfit inspiration board with an example of this look down below! I would get my normal size 9.5 in this style. Hunter Boots are another must-have for me! I wear them constantly throughout the fall and winter! They run true to size. I love these classic black ones in the sale and they come in the tall, or the mid calf!
Sneakers: This is another one of my top favorite categories in the NSale this year! Just too many cute sneakers to choose from! These Adidas Sneakers that come in the neutral leopard print or the black are going to sell FAST! They were a top seller last year! I still have these exact same black ones that I purchased last year, and love them!! True to size. If you are a fan of Golden Goose like I am, then you will love all of the P448 sneakers in the sale! They are SO similar to GG, but half the price, plus on sale now! I can’t get enough of the P448 Leopard Print Sneakers, and the P448 Glitter Sneakers, which also come in the high-top style! Platform sneakers are very popular this season, and I think they’re so cute! Very flattering on too, they make your legs look long! I ordered these Converse Platform Sneakers. I love the white with the gold grommets around the laces! They run big, so I sized down to the 9 instead of my normal 9.5. They will pair well with everything! I can’t wait to wear them with my plaid shackets and some black leggings or jeans! I thought these Keds Platform Sneakers were so cute also, I love the pink pair and the white pair that also have gold detailing!
Shoes and Slippers: Ugg slippers are always a great buy for yourself, or a gift for the holidays! How cute are these Ugg Slippers in the sale this year? I love all of the fun colors! The pink is so cute, but the red would also be perfect for Christmas and fall! Minnetonka also has some darling styles, and a great price! Like these and these! Love the leopard print options! These Nordstrom Slippers are also a great price, too! Of course not as great of quality as Ugg slippers, but good just to wear around the house until they wear out! Any of those pairs of slippers make great gifts! You could add on a Barefoot Dreams blanket, pajamas, candle, etc!
Handbags: The Tory Burch handbags are always a top-seller during the NSale, and I LOVE the styles and colors this year! Cute crossbody bags, or a great tote in two colors, with matching wallets! My personal favorite is this Tory Burch Crossbody. I just adore the green and blue, with the linen and cognac brown! So pretty for year round! The Clare V. bags are always so fun and popular, too. I love the different colored stripes they do on the front or on the strap, and the leopard print is fun!
Jewelry: There are some super cute gold layering necklaces in the sale! I wear gold layered necklaces every day! The initial ones are perfect for yourself, or as a great go-to gift idea to set aside! I love the dainty gold chainlink one with the rhinestone initial! These Pearl Earrings are one of my personal favorites! The NSale is also a great time to invest in a Michele watch if you’ve been wanting one. It’s one of the only times they go on sale! My parents gave me my two-tone Michele watch a few years ago, and it’s one of my favorite pieces I own that I will keep forever!
Barefoot Dreams: Always one of the most popular categories during the NSale! The famous Barefoot Dreams blankets! This year they have a great selection, and even a new floral print that I love!! The leopard print blanket always sells so quickly, and this year they have the matching leopard print dog sweater, dog pillow, and pillow!! I have the solid blanket in cream too, and sleep with it every night! My mom, dad, sisters and I each have one we love them so much! Our dog Ruby even has her own, ha! We got her one of the baby blankets because she loved snuggling ours so much! They truly are the best blankets, and I find them 100% worth the price point, or I wouldn’t recommend them, or spend that much myself! The cardigans are great too! Perfect for at home during the fall and winter! Anything Barefoot Dreams makes a great gift idea as well! If you can get your hands on some blankets, they are fabulous to set aside for holiday gifts!
Leopard Love: There are always some really cute leopard print pieces in the NSale, so I wanted to group all of my favorites together for all of you leopard print lovers!
Beauty and Skincare: The NSale is a great time to stock up on some of your favorites, or a try a few new things while you can save! Beautybio is my go-to skincare, it’s absolutely phenomenal and I can’t recommend it enough!! They always have the best sets. Amazing savings, and there’s never any products in the set that you won’t use! Great way to try Beautybio if you’ve been wanting to, or stock up if you’re a fan like I am! They’re perfect to set aside as gifts as well. I also adore anything and everything Charlotte Tilbury! Her makeup is amazing, and her skincare is great, too! I love each of her sets in the NSale this year. My favorites are this set, and this lip trio! Necessaire makes my absolute favorite bath and body products. They smell like a spa, and they use all clean and safe ingredients! This set in the sale is a must!! I keep a stockpile of Necessaire under my sink so I never run out, ha! I use the body wash and lotion every single day, so this duo is perfect, and on sale!! You could also grab a couple of these sets to set aside as an amazing gift idea! You can’t go wrong with a gift to pamper someone! You could put this set in someones stocking or gift bag, or add on a Barefoot Dreams blanket, candle, etc! I also love these two cute, pink makeup brush sets!! How fun would those be as a gift or stocking stuffer as well? All of the beauty items pictured are some of my top favorite brands, and all things I would use and love! There isn’t a set with an item that would go to waste! Some of the lip sets would be perfect to gift also, or you could break the lip trios apart and you have three little gifts or stocking stuffers!
Hair Tools and Beauty: The T3 hair tools in the NSale this year are SO GOOD!! They come in white, or PINK! Love! T3 is all I use, and they are just fantastic! One of my top recommendations for the NSale will always be the Slip Silk Pillowcases. My mom and sisters and I use them, and they are 100% worth it! They make a difference with my hair and skin, and they stay cool at night! The sale is a great time to get them because they come as a set, so you can keep both for yourself, or break them apart and you’ve got two gifts or stocking stuffers, and you saved some!! My mom and I split a set! They come in the white or tan queen size sets, or the white king set, all linked above! The Slip Silk Hairties are a must for me, too! They’re all I use! Gentle, crease and damage free, and cute! I adore this set in the sale this year! Super cute scrunches and so many hair ties! You could also keep this set for yourself, or break it apart to stuff in gift bags, or stocking stuffers! You could add on one of the lip glosses from the sets like I mentioned, or a silk pillowcase, etc!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is HERE! Every year I look forward to rounding up all of my top favorites and sharing them with you all! It’s such a fun time to collect some cute new pieces that I will wear all fall and winter long, stock up on my favorite beauty essentials, and grab a few gifts to set aside for the holidays! And the best part, you get to save a little, too! After searching through the entire sale online, I have selected all of my favorites that I think y’all will love too! I like to make sure to only highlight what I TRULY love and will wear, what I’m purchasing or giving as gifts, as well as items that I’ve purchased from the NSale in previous years and loved, and that my favorite brands either brought back again this year, new colors, or a very similar style!
Some of you might remember that I actually worked at Nordstrom for a few years up until 2019 when I went full time with my blog, so I know the NSale like the back of my hand!! I am very familiar with all of the brands, the quality, and my favorites! My favorites that I share with you all are what I would recommend to my customers if I were still shopping with them in store! As many of my may know, I moved to Florida this summer, so I no longer have a Nordstrom near me! So until my orders arrive in a few days, I have all of my favorites pictured in these collages and outfit inspiration boards so they are very easy to see and shop by category!

Sizing
I wanted to mention my sizing info to hopefully help make your shopping a little easier! When my items arrive and I can share a try on here on my blog, Insta and YouTube, I will make sure to share sizing info, too! I am 5’7” for height reference, I am a true 9.5 in shoes, I wear size 28 in denim, and size small in dresses. With cardigans, I usually always get size small. With sweaters, I usually get size medium as I like them to be a little oversized. T-Shirts I usually get size large as I like those oversized, too. Flannels I typically do medium or large for oversized/longer fit. Shackets I do size medium for oversized fit. I have already ordered all of my shackets from the sale, and I did medium in all! Brixton hats I get size large. I have a big head, and lots of hair, ha! I also prefer my hats to be a bit loose. I love that Brixton hats come in sizes, so I do the large! I can wear medium too, it’s just a bit more snug than I prefer when wearing them all day!
